Christmas Missions Update

This past Christmas, instead of spending money on exchanging Christmas gifts at their Christmas party, our 7th and 8th Graders chose to send the money to Marina Calderon, a missionary to Honduras supported by Gardendale Baptist Tabernacle.  The money was used to by Christmas gifts for children in Honduras.  In total, $354.00 was given by these classes.

Financial Peace University

Gardendale Baptist Tabernacle will be hosting a 9-week course of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.  We would like to invite any of our interested school parents to join us.
Courses will begin on April 1st at 6:30pm, and they will continue each Monday night at the same time.  You can find more information and enroll online here.
If you have any questions about the course, please contact Bro. Andrew Peters.

Where are the Re-enrollment Packets?

If you have not yet received the paper Re-enrollment Packet in the mail, that is because we are not sending you one.
We are not sending anyone a Re-enrollment Packet.  But don’t worry!  It’s not you.  It’s us!

Dough Ahead…Make My Day!

Our Spring Fundraiser is underway!  Students will be bringing home the Cookies Catalog today.  The Fundraiser runs to February 27th.  Every student can earn awards from the Prize Sheet depending on the number of items sold.

Congratulations Julia Sanders!

Congratulations to 8th grader Julia Sanders for having her poem selected a state winner!

Spring Fundraiser

This year we had to cancel the fundraiser we typically do each fall because of logistical issues with the fundraising company.  We are excited to say that we were able to work through those issues since then, and we are ready to have a Spring Fundraiser!

President’s Day 2019

Governor Kay Ivey declared a State of Emergency for the “snow day” we had in late January.  Because of that, we will not make that day up on President’s Day.  School and Offices will remain closed.  Childcare, however, will be open.
We may not always follow this strictly, but it will be our rule of thumb for flex days.  Any time circumstances dictate that we need to make up a weather day, we will always let you know in advance of the flex day.

Academic Competition Winners

Last week we hosted the ACEA Academic Competition.  Students from schools across the association competed in academic, Bible, and art competitions.  Results were also announced for the state academic online testing we completed in November.  We are very proud of all of our students who competed!
