August is here, which means school is just around the corner! We are excited for the new year, and we hope you all are as well
Please be in prayer for the upcoming year. A lot of planning has gone into the 2019-2020 year over the Summer. We have a lot of exciting things on the horizon, but anything and everything must begin in prayer and continue in prayer. We are never stronger than when we are surrounded by our praying families.
As we kick off the new year, here are some things of which to take note. If you have any questions, please call our School Office at (205) 631-9318.
If you need a copy of the 2019 Supply List, it can be found here. You can also find copies of the School Church Enrollment Forms as well. If you are zoned for Blount County Schools, be sure to choose the one labeled specifically for Blount County. Otherwise, the general form is for any of the other county systems. These forms will also be available at Orientation.
Our School Calendar is online and updated. Be sure to check the calendar frequently throughout the year. On making plans, President Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “…plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.” Our calendar will inevitably change throughout the year, but you can always access the most up to date information on this calendar.
One such change has already been made concerning Spring Break. ACEA moved the Archery Championship originally scheduled for July 27th. This has allowed us to move Spring Break to the week of March 23rd, which corresponds with our surrounding public schools.
We also now have a separate Athletics Calendar on our website. Here you can find games for all of our sports teams, as well as directions to each away game. Directions to away games can also be found on our Games Directions page.
Finally, we are looking forward to seeing everyone at Orientation! Below are the dates and times for Orientation.
K3-K5 August 8th at 8:30am
01-03 August 8th at 5:30pm
04-06 August 8th at 7:00pm
07-12 August 9th at 8:30am.
