FAFSA 2020-2021

The new 2020-2021 FAFSA forms are now available for the Senior class.

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  Families who expect to have a student in college in the Fall of 2020 can now complete the FAFSA online.  Filling out the FAFSA unlocks federal grants and loans that help you pay for college.

While you technically have until June 30, 2021 to file to meet the federal deadline, experts advise filing as early as possible as some awards are first come, first served.  Filing early will allow your Senior to be considered for the greatest number of aid programs because some programs only have a limit amount of funds available. Also, some colleges have deadlines that are earlier than the federal deadline, so filing early ensures your consideration for those schools.

You can begin the FAFSA process via the Federal Student Aid website.  You can review the eligibility criteria before beginning the process.  They also provide a FAFSA4caster to help you estimate your eligibility for federal student aid.
