Students will check in at the front office and go directly to the classroom.  Students in grades 07-12 must check out at 9:20 a.m. if they do not have an exam during the second exam session.  Students should wait to be picked up on the porch of church.  At no time should a student be on the High School Hall during an exam time if they are not taking an exam.

Block Schedule

Hello Tabernacle Family!

We are quickly approaching the one-year mark since we had to close in-person learning and shift to virtual learning.  Since then, we have learned to adapt to many changes during the course of our school day to return to learning.  It has not always been easy, but I am so thankful that we have seen progress and consistency that other schools have not been able to experience.  I believe this to be the result of God blessing us with the absolute best school faculty and a great group of understanding and patient families.

1st Semester Exams 2020/2021

For those opting to take Semester Exams, here is the full schedule

Alabama College Application Week 2020

Each year, the Alabama College Application Campaign works with colleges to offer a week when those institutions waive their application fees.  This year, the Alabama College Application Week will be October 19-23.
During this week, Alabama students can apply to many in-state colleges, as well as several out-of-state colleges for free.  With the average college application fee at $44 in the US, this is a great opportunity for students to apply to several colleges in which they may be interested.
You can find the Alabama Department of Education’s release concerning this event here.  Along with the list of colleges waiving their application fees, you can also find tips on college scholarships.
We encourage every senior to take advantage of this opportunity and apply to at least one college.  An application will not commit you to a school, but it will allow you to start a conversation with them about admissions and possible scholarship opportunities.

Class Officers 2020-2021

Last week we held voting for class officers for the 2020-2021 school year.  Each officer was nominated and elected by their peers.  We are proud of each of these students and look forward to a great year with them!

God’s Glory in Creation

Last week, Dr. Tino Unlap, a Biotechnology Professor from UAB, spoke to our biology classes about God’s Glory in Creation.  In addition to creation, Dr. Unlap discussed how everything in the world is connected and how science can confirm faith.
We are thankful to Mrs. Lindsey for arranging the lecture and discussion with Dr. Unlap.  It was a great opportunity for our students to expand outside the classroom on such a great topic!
